GINGER BREAD | |
1 c. cooking oil 1 c. sugar 1 c. cane syrup 2 tbsp. molasses 3 eggs 1 tsp. ginger 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. allspice 2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking soda 1/8 c. boiling water 1 c. boiling water Mix oil, sugar, cane syrup, 2 tablespoons molasses, 3 eggs, ginger, cinnamon and allspice. Add 2 cups flour. Add 2 teaspoons soda mixed with 1/8 cup boiling water. Add 1 cup boiling water. This mixture will be a little thin. Bake at 300 degrees for about 1 hour. Add pecans, or raisins, or figs, dredged in flour, if you wish. |
