APPLE CRUMB PIE 
1 (9 inch) unbaked pastry shell
Tart apples
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Pinch of salt

TOPPING:

1/3 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
6 tbsp. butter

Peel and cut apples into slices. In a bowl mix apples with 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Put mixture into pastry shell. Mix 1/3 cup sugar (can use a mixture of brown and white sugar), flour and butter until crumbly.

Sprinkle crumbly mixture over apples. Bake at 400 degrees for 35-40 minutes. If pie browns too quickly, cover edge with foil.
