3/4 c. butter
1 1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. plain M&M'S®
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Gradually add combined flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in M&M'S® and nuts.

Drop dough by heaping tablespoons onto greased cookie sheet about 3 inches apart. Press 3-4 additional M&M'S® on each cookie. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on cookie sheet 3 minutes, remove cookies to wire rack and cool thoroughly. Makes 2 dozen 3 1/2 inch cookies.
