PERSIMMON COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. persimmon pulp
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 c. raisins
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream shortening, sugar, and egg. Add persimmon pulp and spices. Add flour, raisins and nuts. Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
