WHOLE WHEAT BATTER BREAD 
1 pkg. yeast
1 1/4 c. warm water
2 tbsp. honey
2 tbsp. butter, melted and cooled
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1 1/2 c. unbleached all-purpose flour

Combine yeast and warm water. Add honey and stir. Add butter, salt, all- purpose flour and one half of the whole wheat flour. Beat with hand mixer on low until blended, then beat on high 1 minute. Scrape bowl well and beat one more minute. Stir in remaining flour by hand. Cover and let rise until doubled (approximately 45 minutes).

Grease loaf pan. Deflate batter by stirring 30 strokes with wooden spoon. Put in loaf pan. Cover and let rise 45 minutes or until rise to rim of pan. Bake 350 degrees 40 minutes.
