MACARONI AND CHEESE CASSEROLE 
1 lb. elbow macaroni
1 lb. can whole tomatoes
1 sm. onion, grated
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 green pepper, chopped
Salt and pepper
2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese

Cook macaroni until tender. Drain; set aside. In saucepan combine tomatoes, onion, garlic, green pepper and seasonings. Simmer until green peppers and onions are soft. Grease large oblong baking dish with butter. Alternate layers of macaroni, cheese and tomatoes. Season between layers. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until brown on top. Yield: 8 servings.
