CHERRY TORTE 
2 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. butter

Mix like pie crust; pat into 9 x 12 pan and bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Crumble into pieces while still warm and press lightly back into pan.

FILLING:

8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 c. powdered sugar
1 can cherry pie filling
1 pkg. Dream Whip prepared per instructions on pkg.
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix cheese, sugar, vanilla, and add to Dream Whip. Pour over cooled crust and top with cherry pie filling. Chill at least 12 hours. Serves 16-18 people.
