MICROWAVE CHILI BEANS AND RICE 
1/2 c. boiling water
1/2 c. quick cooking rice
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped green peppers
1/2 tsp. instant chicken bouillon granules
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 c. canned chili beans
1/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (1 oz.)

In microwave casserole combine water, uncooked rice, onion, green pepper, bouillon granules, and chili powder. Cook covered on High 2-3 minutes or until vegetables are tender and water is absorbed. Stir in beans. Cook 2-3 minutes on High (covered). Stir and sprinkle in cheese before serving.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
