HAM AND CHEESE BEAN CASSEROLE | |
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen French cut green beans 1 1/2 c. liquid 3 tbsp. butter 3 tbsp. regular flour 1/2 tsp. salt 2/3 c. instant nonfat dry milk 2 c. chopped lean ham 4 oz. (1 c.) shredded cheddar cheese 2 hard cooked eggs, chopped 2 tbsp. chopped pimiento 1 tbsp. chopped parsley 1 tsp. finely chopped onion 1/2 c. buttered bread crumbs Cook green beans according to package directions; drain, reserving liquid add water to make 1 1/2 cups. In a 2 quart saucepan melt butter; stir in flour and salt. Remove from heat; gradually stir in liquid and nonfat dry milk. Return to heat and cook, stirring constantly until thickened. Cook 2 more minutes. Remove from heat; stir in ham, cheese, eggs, pimiento, parsley and onion. Place beans in baking pan and cover with ham sauce. Sprinkle crumbs over top. Bake 20 to 25 minutes. |
