MEXICAN CHOCOLATE CRINKLES | |
3/4 c. butter 1 egg 2 (1 oz.) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 c. sugar 1/4 c. light corn syrup 1 3/4 c. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 c. sugar (for dipping) Cream together butter, sugar and egg. Stir in syrup and chocolate. Stir in dry ingredients to make stiff dough. Shape dough into balls the size of walnuts and roll into sugar. Place on ungreased baking sheet about 3" apart. Bake in 350 degree oven about 15 minutes. Cookies will flatten and crinkle. Let stand a few minutes before removing to wire racks. Makes 3 dozen. |
