CRANBERRY NUT BREAD 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 lg. eggs, beaten
Dash salt
1 tsp. vanilla or almond extract
7 oz. can whole cranberries
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 c.flour
1 c. sour cream
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Soften butter and cream together with sugar. Add beaten eggs, salt and flavoring alternately with dry ingredients, sifted together. Fold in sour cream.

Pour 1/2 batter into 9" tube pan which has been greased and floured. Sprinkle 1/4 cup chopped nuts on top. Drop 1/2 can whole cranberries on top of nuts. Pour remaining batter over this and put rest of nuts and cranberries on top.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes. Let cool a few minutes, then turn out on cake rack. While still warm, dribble on icing made of confectioners' sugar and hot water.
