BERRY SPECIAL POUND CAKE 
3 sticks butter
8 oz. cream cheese
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 c. flour
Dash salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla or lemon extract with grated lemon rind

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Coat a 10 inch tube pan with spray. Cream butter and cream cheese. Add sugar. Add eggs. Stir in flour and salt. Add vanilla or lemon. Bake for 1 1/2 hours.

Slice cake in thirds. Sweeten 1 pint whipped cream with 1 cup powdered sugar. Spread between layers. Place 1 cup sliced strawberries on each layer. Glaze 12 to 16 whole strawberries with apricot preserves and cognac or brandy. Place hull side down on top of cake.
