GINGERBREAD COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
4 c. sugar
1 c. molasses
4 eggs, beaten
8 c. flour
8 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. ginger
4 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. salt

Melt shortening in a large saucepan. Remove from heat, let cool. Add sugar, molasses, and eggs. Mix well. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to first mixture. Mix well. Chill dough for 1 hour. Roll dough into small balls and dip in sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
