POWER CRUNCH COOKIES 
1/3 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tbsp. water
3/4 tsp. vanilla extract
1 egg
1/2 c. all purpose flour
1/4 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. quick cooking oats, uncooked
3/4 c. wheat bran flakes cereal, lightly crushed
1/2 c. mixed dried fruit bits
3 tbsp. unsalted sunflower seed kernels, toasted

Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed of an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add water, vanilla and egg; mix well.

Combine flours, baking soda, and salt; add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Add remaining ingredients, and stir well.

Drop dough by level tablespoons 2 inches apart onto ungreased non stick cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for about 6 minutes or until golden. Remove to wire racks, and let cool completely. Store cookies loosely covered.
