HOME FRIED OKRA 
2 lb. small okra
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. corn meal or cracker crumbs
1 c. oil or for flavor 1 cup of bacon fat

Cut okra up, dip in eggs. Coat well with corn meal. Heat oil over medium heat and fry okra until well browned and crisp. Drain on paper towel. Serves 6 to 8.
