This is the best banana pudding ever. This kind of eating takes me back to my childhood and the way my mother and aunts cooked banana pudding, the old fashioned way. Thanks for sharing.

At family gatherings I was the beverage & paper goods person until they found out I could make my great-grandmas banana pudding. Now I make it for most holiday gatherings. I misplaced the recipe. This is very similar to hers. I multiplied the recipe x4 and added a stick of salted butter. Thanks for posting this recipe. I am off to our Christmas Gathering Part 2.

I cooked this in microwave 6 minutes, stirring after 3 minutes. Perfect and faster than on stove top!

This recipe is like the one I grew up with except my Mom added butter "the size of a walnut". I have tweaked the recipe. I replace the milk with half and half or heavy cream. It gives it extra added smoothness & richness.

This is the way my mother and sister and mother in law made this pudding. This is the best, cook it and put it together, not the stuff made with pudding mix. There is a difference in the taste. Good Old Fashioned cooking with lots of LOVE.

Fabulous, absolutely fabulous! Easy and efficient! Just like how my grandmother showed me.. Just watch out for lumping in the pudding and stir frequently until pudding thickens.

You should actually stir the pudding CONSTANTLY.

What I love is there are no additives, etc. It was made with the most basic and natural ingredients. I made this is minutes: it was so easy. I put whipped cream on it instead of meringue but will try the meringue next time.

Easy fabulous recipe!!! Works perfectly in 9 x 13 pan with only one layer. This was so perfect that I wrote in my personal cookbook that only contains the "GOOD STUFF" I will be passing this one on. NO ONE COULD MESS IT UP!!!!
