MARY'S ALMONDS IN A HAYSTACK 
4 c. ham, chopped
8 oz. cream cheese (and 4 oz. extra)
1/3 c. green onions, finely chopped
3/4 c. salad dressing
1/4 c. dill pickle relish
2 pkgs. slivered almonds (2 oz. or 1/3 c. each pkg.)

Mix ham, onions, relish and half of almonds, set aside. Mix half of cream cheese (4 ounces) and half of salad dressing. Mix above two mixtures together. Refrigerate until firm. Make into a mound. Combine remaining cream cheese and salad dressing (this is where you may want to add the extra 4 ounces cream cheese). Frost mound with cream cheese mixture. Press remaining almonds on outside. Serve with crackers.
