GLAZED STRAWBERRY PIE 
1 qt. fresh strawberries
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. cold water
1/4 c. corn starch
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. lemon juice
Few drops red food coloring
1 bake pie shell

Wash, drain and hull strawberries. Place sugar and 1/2 cup of cold water in a saucepan and bring to a boiling point. Dissolve corn starch in the remaining 3/4 cup of cold water. Add gradually to syrup mixture.

Cook over low heat stirring constantly until thickened and clear. Add salt, lemon juice and enough coloring to make a bright red shade, similar to berries. Pour hot mixture over strawberries. Mix gently and cool. Place in baked pie shell. Top with whipped cream and refrigerate.
