GLAZED STRAWBERRY PIE 
1 qt. fresh strawberries
1 1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 c. cornstarch or 1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. cold water
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 (9 inch) baked pie shell

Bring sugar and water to boiling point over medium heat. Dissolve cornstarch or flour in the 3/4 cup cold water. Add to syrup mixture. Cook about 10 minutes until clear. Blend in salt and lemon juice. Pour strawberries into glaze mixture; mix gently. Pour into baked pie shell. Serve plain or with whipped cream.
