GRANDMOTHER'S STEW 
4 lb. stew meat
3 tsp. salt
6 med. potatoes
2 lg. onions
3 sticks celery
1 1/4 c. macaroni
2 cans sliced carrots
1 can cream style corn
3 cans whole tomatoes
1 can Ro - Tel tomatoes
1/2 c. bacon drippings
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. black pepper
Dash of cayenne pepper

Salt meat, potatoes, onion, celery, macaroni and carrots to taste. Place stew meat and salt (1 small whole red pepper, if desired) in a large roaster (like your turkey roaster). Have plenty of water to cover meat (lots of water). Cover and cook until meat is tender. Dice the potatoes and cook in another pan until almost done, then add onion and celery to this and continue to cook until they are done. (Just before these are done. add macaroni and continue to cook for about 5 minutes. Then add carrots, corn, tomatoes and Ro - Tel to stew meat.)
