1/2 cup shortening (Crisco)
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups self-rising flour

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Cream together shortening, sugar, vanilla and eggs. Then add in self-rising flour and mix.

Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 350°F for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Sprinkle the top of the cookies with sugar while hot.
