1 gallon small beets
3 c. vinegar
1 qt. water
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 sticks cinnamon
1 tbsp. allspice
1 1/2 tsp. salt

Cook beets. Bring vinegar mixture to boil. Put beets in sterilized jars; then add boiling mixture and seal.
