MARTHA'S APRICOT NUT BREAD | |
1/2 c. snipped dried apricots (uncooked) 1 c. broken nuts 2 1/4 c. pkg. biscuit mix 1 c. uncooked rolled oats 3/4 c. granulated sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. double acting baking powder 1 egg 1 1/4 c. milk Grease and flour 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pan. Combine biscuit mix, oats, sugar, salt and baking powder. Beat egg well, add milk and beat, then stir in dry ingredients and beat hard for 30 seconds. Add apricots and nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Cool 10 minutes in pan, then on rack. Wrap and mellow overnight. |
