MARINADE FOR BEEF OR LAMB 
1/2 c. butter or oil
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. catsup, optional
1/2 c. lemon juice
1/2 c. Worcestershire
1 bay leaf, crushed
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 c. onion, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced or crushed
6 shakes Tabasco

Saute onion and garlic in butter or oil. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Let cool, then marinate meat for 3-4 hours.
