BUTTERMILK BISCUITS 
1/2 c. butter
2 c. self rising flour
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. bacon grease

Cut butter into flour with pastry blended until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Add all other ingredients and mix with a spoon. Turn dough out on a lightly floured surface and pat down lightly. Cut with a biscuit cutter. Bake at 450 degrees about 10 minutes. The secret to the biscuits is leaving the air in. DO NOT KNEAD.
