CHOW MEIN CASSEROLE 
1 1/2 lbs. beef
1 med. onion
1/2 c. uncooked rice
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 tbsp. soy sauce
2 c. hot water
1 tsp. salt
1 can chow mein noodles

Brown beef, onion and salt; drain off grease. Put in a 9x13 inch dish. Add rice. Mix hot water with chicken soup and mushroom soup; add soy sauce and pour over beef and rice. Do not stir.

Cover baking dish with aluminum foil and cook at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Some ovens may not take as long. Remove aluminum foil; spread noodles on top and bake in oven 30 minutes more or until brown.
