GRANDMA'S SPAGHETTI SAUCE | |
1 lb. lean ground beef 1 lb. can tomato sauce 1 lg. can crushed tomatoes 1 sm. can tomato paste 1 lg. onion, chopped 2 cloves crushed garlic 1/2 tsp. allspice 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. rosemary 2 bay leaves 1 stick butter Saute onions, garlic and spices in butter for 5 minutes. Add meat and cook for 1/2 hour (do not drain). Add remaining tomatoes and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours. Great with meatballs and mushrooms instead of ground meat. |
