CHOCOLATE FROSTED DROPS 
1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)
2 (1 oz.) squares unsweetened chocolate
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. buttermilk or sour milk
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 (6 oz.) pkg. (1 c.) chocolate pieces

Melt chocolate and shortening. Cool 10 minutes. Add brown sugar. Beat in egg, vanilla and milk. Add dry ingredients, stir in nuts and chocolate pieces. Drop from teaspoon to greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees about 10 minutes.

CHOCOLATE DROPS FROSTING:

Cream together 1/4 cup butter, 2 tablespoons dry cocoa, 2 teaspoons instant coffee powder and dash of salt. Beat in 2 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla and enough milk (3 tablespoons) for spreading consistency.
