STUFFED GREEN PEPPERS | |
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1/2 lb. ground beef 1 c. dry bread crumbs 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 tbsp. chopped onion 4 lg. green peppers 1 c. boiling water Mix first 6 ingredients. Cut a thin slice from top of green peppers. Wash and clean out seeds. Cook in boiling water for 5 minutes and drain. Stuff peppers lightly with meat mixture and stand upright in a small baking dish. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees with a covering over the dish. Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer. Yield 4 servings. |
