MAPLE FROSTING 
1/4 c. Crisco
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. maple blend syrup
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. confectioners' sugar
1/4 c. milk

Combine Crisco, salt, syrup, vanilla and 1 cup of sugar. Add milk and remaining sugar alternately. Mix until smooth and creamy. Add more sugar to thicken or milk to thin, if needed for good spreading consistency. Frosts 2 (8" or 9") layers or a 13"x9" cake.

Hi all you cake peeps. Just finished making this Maple Frosting, and it needed some help. Very Faint taste of Maple. Here is what I did.

Pecan Maple Frosting

1 cup Crisco, 1 teaspoon salt, 3/4 cup maple syrup, I used Hungry Jack, 4 teaspoons vanilla, 1/2 cup milk plus 1/8th cup milk, 2 pounds confectioners' sugar and 3/4 cup chopped pecans, make sure chopped small enough to go through tip, I used tip 867. Frosted spiced pumpkin cupcakes, OMG so good.
