PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES 
1 pkg. Duncan Hines Deluxe Yellow Cake Mix
1/3 c. light brown sugar
1 1/3 c. (12 oz. jar) peanut butter
1/2 c. Crisco oil
1/4 c. water
1 egg

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Shape into 1 inch balls.

Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Place a criss-cross on each cookie with the tines of a fork that have been dipped in water.

Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until light brown.

Cool on cookie sheet about 1 minute, then remove to rack to finish cooling.

Makes 4 to 5 dozen 2 1/2 inch cookies.

NOTE: If you like nuts - use crunchy peanut butter, if not, use smooth type.
