BLACK EARTH CAKE 
2 1/2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. hot water
1 c. oil
1 c. soured milk or buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Place all ingredients together in order listed in a large bowl. Beat with a hand mixer for 1 minute at medium speed. Pour into a greased tube pan and bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Let cool in pan for 45 minutes, then turn onto a plate. Dust the top with powdered sugar when completely cooled.
