SODA CRACKER CHIPS | |
1 column soda crackers (1/4 lb.) 1 c. light brown sugar 2 sticks (1/2 lb.) butter 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips Heat oven to 400 degrees. Foil line cookie sheet. Lay crackers together covering cookie sheet. Bring butter and sugar to a boil in saucepan and boil exactly 3 minutes. Spoon all of it over crackers. Bake in 400 degree oven until bubbly and light brown (about 5-6 minutes). Watch carefully (do not burn). Take out of oven and sprinkle chips over top. As chips melt, spread evenly over crackers, covering all. Cool, then place in refrigerator until crisp. Break in irregular pieces. Store in covered container in cool place. |
