LAYERED GREEN SALAD | |
1 med. head lettuce, break or chop 1/2 c. green onions (3 bunches), thinly sliced 1 1/2 c. thinly sliced celery 1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, broken apart 2-3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped 1/2 lb. bacon, cooked, drained, crumbled Grated mild Cheddar cheese 2 c. mayonnaise or Miracle Whip 2 tbsp. sugar In shallow 3 1/2 to 4 quart serving dish, layer as follows: shredded lettuce, 3 bunches onions, 1 1/2 cups chopped celery, 1 package frozen peas, broken apart, 2-3 hard-cooked eggs, finely chopped, 1 1/2 pound bacon, shredded Cheddar cheese. Mix mayonnaise or Miracle Whip with 2 tablespoons sugar. Spread salad dressing completely over top of layered ingredients in serving dish, sealing to edges. Cover and chill 24 hours. |
