BOSTON BROWN BREAD | |
1 (15 oz.) box raisins 2 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. butter Pour over all 2 cups water, boiling. Let stand 3 or 4 hours. Then add 2 cups of sugar, 4 cups flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 2 eggs, beaten. Mix well, divide equally into 6 (No. 2) cans. Bake about 55 or 60 minutes in 350 degree oven. Remove from cans. |
