SWEET POTATOES 
6 fresh sweet potatoes
1 can apple pie filling
1 can pineapple tidbits, drained, but reserve juice
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. pecans

Peel sweet potatoes and cut into pieces. Boil until tender in salted water. Drain. Place sweet potatoes in 13 x 9 inch dish and cover with the can of apple pie filling. Arrange pineapple tidbits over apples and potatoes. Sprinkle nuts over the top. Mix the brown sugar with 1/2 cup reserved pineapple juice and pour over top. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 12.
