CRUMB CAKE 
CRUMBS:

2 c. flour
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon

Have butter at room temperature. Cut into flour, then mix all other ingredients and work it well until crumbly. Set in refrigerator overnight. Take out 1/2 hour before baking cake.

CAKE:

1 stick butter or 1/2 c. butter flavor Crisco
5 level tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. milk
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tbsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sugar

Cream sugar and shortening together until creamy. Add flour and the rest of the ingredients until batter is smooth. It will be quite thick. You can add a little more milk but not much. Grease and flour the pan (12 x 9 x 2 inches). Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Spread batter in pan and crumble crumbs on top. Bake 40-45 minutes (test with a toothpick) or until done. After cooling, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
