FROSTED BANANA RING | |
2 1/2 c. sifted flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 c. butter, softened 1 1/2 c. sugar 4 eggs 2 tbsp. ginger 1 c. mashed ripe bananas Greased & floured 9 inch tube pan Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift flour and baking powder onto wax paper. Set aside. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in ginger and bananas. Blend flour mixture into creamed mixture by hand until smooth. Turn into prepared pan. Bake for 1 hour or until top springs back when touched. Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes. Turn to cool. Ice with 1 cup sifted 10x sugar, flavoring 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla, lemon or other, and milk as needed to thin into icing. |
