STEWED RAISIN COOKIES 
2 c. raisins
1 c. water
3/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 beaten eggs
Nuts (optional)
3 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Simmer raisins in water, then cream butter and sugar. Add cooled raisins and some liquid. Drop by teaspoons. Bake 12-15 minutes in 350 degree oven.
