CLAM CHOWDER SOUP 
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped celery
4 tbsp. butter
3 c. milk (or half & half)
1 can cream of potato soup
Salt to taste
1/4 c. dry sherry wine, optional
1 c. cooked cubed potatoes
1/2-1 lb. clam meat
2 toes minced garlic
Pinch thyme
2-3 bay leaves
Chopped parsley

Saute just until tender 1/2 cup chopped onion and 1/2 cup chopped celery in 4 tablespoons butter. Add remaining ingredients. Heat on low heat until heated through. Add 1/4 cup dry sherry wine. Serves 4-6.
