LAYERED TOSSED SALAD 
1 head of lettuce, torn
1 1/2 c. chopped celery
1 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
1 1/2 c. Spanish onion
1 green peas, can or frozen
1 pt. Miracle Whip
1 tbsp. sugar
6 oz. grated cheddar cheese
8 strips crumbled fried bacon

Place ingredients in layers as listed. Let stand 8 hours (or overnight) before serving. Toss before serving also.
