CINNAMON SWIRL BREAD | |
2 pkgs. yeast 1/2 c. warm water 1 1/2 c. warm milk, scalded 1/2 c. sugar 2 tsp. salt 2 eggs 1 1/2 c. oats 6 1/2 to 7 c. flour 2/3 c. oil 1/4 c. melted butter 1 c. sugar 2 tbsp. cinnamon Mix yeast with water until it bubbles. Let set 5 minutes. Mix milk, oil, sugar, salt, eggs, oats, and 2 cups flour with a mixer. Add remaining flour and knead 10 minutes. Put in greased bowl; let rise 1 hour. Punch down. Take out of bowl and lay on board. Place bowl over dough and let rest for 10 minutes. Divide the dough in half. Roll dough out and brush with melted butter. Add 1/2 of the cinnamon and sugar mixture. Roll up tightly and let rise for 45 minutes. Place on greased pan and bake for 40 minutes at 375 degrees. |
