CREME DE MENTHE BARS 
FIRST LAYER:

1 c. butter
4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sifted flour

In double boiler melt chocolate and butter; cool slightly. In mixing bowl beat eggs until fluffy. Gradually beat in sugar; add remaining ingredients including chocolate mixture. Beat 1 minute.

Pour into greased 13x9 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. DO NOT OVERBEAT OR OVERBAKE! Cool.

FILLING:

1/2 c. butter
4 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. whipping cream
1/4 c. green creme de menthe

Beat butter and sugar together while gradually adding cream and creme de menthe. Mixture will be light and fluffy. Spread over first layer and chill 1 1/2 hours or longer.

TOPPING:

6 oz. chocolate chips
4 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. water

Melt chocolate and butter; add water. Mix and spread over filling. Store in refrigerator. Makes approximately 5 dozen. Freezes well.
