SIX FLAVORED POUND CAKE | |
2 sticks butter 1/2 c. corn oil 3 c. sugar 5 extra lg. eggs 3 c. cake flour plus 2 tbsp. 1 tsp. baking powder 1 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. almond 1 tsp. lemon 1 tsp. rum extract 1 tsp. sherry 1 tsp. brandy Cream butter, oil and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Mix flour and baking powder and add alternately with milk to butter and egg mixture. Begin and end with flour. Add flavorings. Beat well. Bake in a well-greased 10-inch tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes to 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Can be frosted with Butter Cream Frosting. |
