SOPAPILLAS 
2 c. flour
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

Knead into a ball. Stand 15 minutes.

Make four portions. Each portion roll out to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut in quarters. Put in hot shortening or oil.

Brown on one side then turn over. Serve with honey.
