SAUSAGE BISCUITS | |
1 lb. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded 3 c. dry biscuit mix 1 lg. pork sausage Tabasco (if no sharp cheddar cheese) Heat together shredded sharp cheddar cheese and uncooked hot or mild pork sausage in large saucepan. Stir together with wooden spoon until cheese has melted. Stir in dry biscuit mix until smooth. Cool, then chill about an hour for easier handling. Form into balls about the size of a nickel or slightly larger. Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove and place on paper towels to drain. Serve warm. These sausage balls freeze beautifully after baking. Simply place in a slow oven to heat thoroughly before serving. Makes about 4 dozen. |
