SAUSAGE BREAD | |
1 lb. frozen bread dough, thawed 1/2 lb. Italian sausage meat, sauteed 1/2 c. chopped green peppers, sauteed 1/2 c. chopped onions, sauteed Let thawed bread dough rise in oiled bowl until tripled in size. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place dough on floured board and roll out flat. The sausage meat and peppers and onions may be sauteed together in one pan. Sprinkle the sauteed sausage, peppers and onions on top of the dough. Roll up lengthwise and seal the edges with your fingers and a little water. Brush top of bread with beaten egg. Place in 400 degree oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden. Serves 4. |
