CAPE COD'S HONEYSUCKLE LANE'S
CRANBERRY FRUIT NUT BREAD
 
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. shortening
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. fresh grated orange peel
1/2 c. nuts
1 1/2 c. coarsely chopped cranberries

Coarsely chop 1 1/2 cup cranberries in food processor or blender. Combine in large bowl cranberries with remaining ingredients. Blend all ingredients and pour into greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pan. Bake at 55 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool 15 minutes before serving.
