1 1/4 c. soft butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
3/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 pkg. chocolate chips or other chips

Cream butter and sugar well. Add vanilla and eggs and beat well. Combine flour, cocoa, soda and salt, add to first mixture, stir in chips. Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 or 9 minutes at 350 degrees. Do not overbake. Cookies will puff during baking.
