SOFT CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
2 sticks soft butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. hot water
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. chocolate bits

Cream butter and both sugars until mixed well. Add eggs, hot water and vanilla. Beat until fluffy. Add flour, salt, and baking soda. When all this is mixed well, turn off the beaters.

Pour in chocolate bits and use a wooden spoon to stir in until well distributed. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool on cookie tray for about 1 minute and then take them off.

Let cool a little longer and then put into container. Place wax paper between layers if warm.
